~Marie’s story so far…

  • Arrival et Famille

When Marie first arrived on the island, she was quickly reunited with her so-called family, consisting of her two brother’s Berlioz and Toulouse as well as her mother Madame Adelaide and Uncle Edgar and Cousin Dutchess. They all live together in a victorian, French mansion located by the Fantasmic mall.

Despite having her family with her, Marie hasn’t really connected with them, especially her uncle Edgar. He’s a sleeze and so rude to the young girl, not only that- Marie feels like he has wronged them in more ways than one before, she especially feels this way when by water or if he prepares the food and drink for her family.

Marie’s relationship with Berlioz is a bumpy one, she has tried umpteen times to connect but it just doesn’t seem to work in her opinion. They’re your typical brother and sister, always bickering and fighting over stupid things, although Marie could not stand this any longer.

  • Personal

Unless you’re part of the male species, chances are Marie hasn’t bothered to introduce herself to you, she’s a flirt and she just can’t help it. Marie spends most of her time working in the Fantasmic mall’s salon with Vanessa, who wasn’t even on the island until that of recently.

Marie started off on the island with close friendship to Cheshire, who did ask her to the Christmas Masquarade. The whole night was wonderful for the girl, although something did change that. Beforehand, Marie agreed with Scar that she would work a shift behind the bar, this becoming her second job. Want to know why?

Kovu.

  • The beginning of the end

Now, their relationship started off with Marie critizing his hair on more than one occasion. To be frankly honest, Marie was disgusted by his whole attitude and appearance, he was rude and just plain cocky… But there was something else, she could tell. So, before she could work shift at the bar, Scar offered Kovu to help her out, in which he did, drunk… But alas, she could still see the good within.

The ball, Christmas and before, Marie continued to deny any feelings she had for the boy, most probably because first off; She didn’t understand what it was and second; Just look at him.

So, this turned out to be Marie’s dillema, Cheshire or Kovu. Cheshire gave Marie alcohol at the ball which if you know her today, was probably one of the worst decisions of her Island life. Although she usually goes for the more sophisticated rose wines or cocktails. Cheshire also placed a kiss on her lips that evening, but Marie was too drunk to even realize any feelings he has for her and plus, she was late to work behind the bar.

So this whole love affair in Marie’s head continued. Agreeing to spend New Years Eve with the both of them. Marie started off at the club with Cheshire, where she had a few of her classy drinks. Before long she found her way over to Scar and Kovu’s suite in the inn. Marie was so out of it she can only just remember that night, but there was one thing for sure, this helped her decide what to do in her head. Kovu was nothing but caring of her. They stayed together that night. Nothing happened, but this showed Marie the light that was his soft side, a heart. He actually cared about her and this made Marie feel so special.

  • Fireworks

Now, NYE Marie originally planned to spend with her family, but her mother and brothers sent her out to the Burlesque club to try and look for their missing uncle. So all the Cheshire/Kovu drama of that night should not have happened. Marie came home and spilled her heart out to Berlioz about her feelings for both the men. It was lovely and she’d wish things could possibly go back to that, but alas they wouldn’t. Marie told her younger brother about the problems she was having in her love life, as Berlioz told her of his crush on Naveen.

  • The Black Swan

There was something in the way of their possible relationship or more so someone. Eve. The new bartender and gardener on the island, a seductive, heartless woman it would seem. But for some reason, Marie just felt like Kovu was ditching out on being with her to be with Eve and… the rest of the female islanders, but more so with Eve. This began to crush the young girl, her feelings for Kovu were just so strong. It didn’t help that she actually bumped into this woman one night and was forced to carry her things, despite it all being Eve’s fault. She got too personal and Marie could not stand it much longer, storming out of her house, although she could never understand how Eve’s little brother coped with his sister’s attitude. So ever since, they have not been the best of friends, enemies, probably and Marie could not see this changing anytime soon.

  • Keep her hanging on

The islanders were all starting to believe that Kovu and Marie were an item, this was never the case. Even his roommate thought this. They were heading to Tiger-Lily’s party together, but before long this all changed as they shared their first kiss and more… But things came for a turn of the worst as Berlioz could just never accept how his elder sister felt for Kovu. This forced Marie to leave home, she just couldn’t stand it any longer and Kovu had offered her a place to stay. Ever since this, Marie has noticed how much her brother is changing, his ways disgust her and quite honestly, she feels ashamed to be related to such an easy, sexual target. Marie always hears of him getting with almost all of the island and yes, while Marie is a flirt, she would not go as far as to doing that.

So, despite Kovu offering her his place, she didn’t quite go there just yet.

  • Knight in shining armor

Marie was a mess, packing up to leave home, she knew Kovu had to talk to Scar about all this first, leaving her with nowhere to go just yet. Marie knew that she should probably try to make some other friends on the island, to help get her mind off of all the drama. So, she turned to Herc, possibly the most caring, sweetest, handsome guy on the island. He helped her out with her belongings, taking her and them back to his, where they shared and drink and headed over to the bar, since Marie was working that night. This all changed as they got there, Marie just ended up drinking even more, especially since Eve was working that night, too. Herc kissed Marie, out of nowhere, but she could feel this meant something and wasn’t just a drunken mistake. Although, then Eve kissed Herc, which just made her depression even worse. The two girls bickered and Herc managed to escape, Marie slapped Eve in the face as she made a nasty comment about this. Luckily, Marie got away and went off to comfort Herc, scared she’d hurt him somehow. The two shared another, more sober kiss and this time Marie felt the same feeling she got with Kovu, except… Like there was nothing else in the way.

  • Happily ever after?

Marie was still staying at Kovu’s, even though Scar did not seem to approve. Kovu asked her, through texts, how she felt about everyone accussing them of being together. Marie said she didn’t mind but it was just she felt like there was someone else and she actually told him about Eve. Kovu… Didn’t even respond to this properly. He just attempted to change the subject or make a joke out of it all. Now, Marie felt like she had made a huge mistake, that she should’ve just listened to Berlioz the whole time and that she just wanted to run to Herc, the one who actually made her feel loved.
So, Marie went back to her family home, still avoiding her brother’s possible ‘I told you so.’

All Marie wanted was to see Herc again, if she could be with him then she knew she’d have nothing to worry about anymore. Herc asked her out on a date and she agreed, he asked her out in the most beautiful, romantic way and Marie just had to follow her heart and say yes.

  • It was only a kiss

Everything was now looking up for the young girl, not only did she finally have the man of her dreams, she was back with her family and just generally Marie was feeling like her cheery self once again. She felt like nothing could bring her down, that was until Kovu told her he was in hospital with alcohol poisoning.

Marie rushed over to see him, despite everything that had happened, there was still that small something inside that made her care. Knowing that he had a heart inside and knowing that he never wanted to be alone. Kovu was in a terrible state, strong fever which must’ve made him kiss Marie, she was shocked and had no idea what to do, he started speaking badly of Herc and this did anger Marie but again, he was sick and disorientated, making Marie stay with him a little while longer. Although it probably wasn’t even a good idea to try and stay friends with Kovu after everything that had happened.

  • Turn for the worse

The gossip blog. Now, by now you probably all know Marie is a huge fan of Cobra Bubbles and would never blame him for what he prints, he’s only the messenger to it all afterall. The gossip always seemed to know more about Marie than she did herself, sometimes it was true and sometimes it wasn’t. Marie wasn’t even sure what it had said but something about her to upset Herc and Kovu was not helping. Marie was already having a terrible day as it was, news had spread that a friend of her’s, Basil had died, so all she wanted to do was be in Herc’s arms, but the gossip was stopping this. Marie felt incredibly guilty over the kiss, but just kept thinking that it was only because he was sick, Herc didn’t need to know and Marie was not going to jeprodize her future with him because of that one mistake. Marie went over to his, she had been crying for the loss of her friend as well as how Herc felt about her right now. It was awkward at first but they finally forgave and made out up. Marie felt happy again and finally got what she wanted, her happy ending… Although there’s still that kiss.
